Welcome

Thank you so much for visiting the site. I’m located in San Diego, California and enjoy capturing the essence of a family and family to be. I specialize in maternity, newborn and baby photography. Something about a baby bump, and the sweet baby smell inspires me to photograph what no one else sees, the natural beauty of your family.

Little Surprises| San Diego Photographer

This little one is full of surprises. As innocent as this wee one may look, there was a little secret kept from Mommy and Daddy. As the anxious parents excitedly prepared for the arrival of their bundle of joy with little blue outfits and boyish toys, no one would have thought this little boy welcomes the world as a little girl. Ooops…is right. We’ve all heard stories of the doctor reading the ultrasound wrong and I’m excited to now say I know one couple that has had this happen to them. :) Meet Little Miss Penny, the cutest, little stinker that has mommy and daddy wondering what else she has up her sleeve :)

Sheena, it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful time in your lives. Your little girl was so much fun and I can see her beauty radiating inside and out, just like her mama! Enjoy your teasers!

Mama’s Day| San Diego Photographer

On Friday, May 11th, I had the opportunity to assist Sycuan Cafe Grill (a restaurant located at my 9-to-5er, Sycuan Golf & Tennis Resort) as they participated in Mama’s Day, one of San Diego’s popular culinary and social events. Mama’s Kitchen is the only organization that prepares and delivers three meals a day, seven days a week, at no cost to San Diegans affected by critical illnesses such as AIDS or cancer. The event was hosted by Sycuan Casino with Culinary Host, San Diego’s Sam ‘The Cooking Guy’ Zien at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. With over 60 participating restaurants, we were proud to be a fellow supporter. I can say, by far, this was one of the most enjoyable culinary venues I have been involved in, granted I’ve only been to a handful. The atmosphere was lively, the food was amazing and the people I was with were entertaining as heck. These events remind me of how much I enjoy the long late days and nights I work. Without it, I would miss out on these great opportunities that include community involvement. When something is for a great cause, I have no hesitation in helping out as much as I can.

Why Hello There| San Diego Photographer

So this is going to be one of those posts where I say…oops, it’s been a long time. I know you’ve heard it from me before, but what can I say…life happens. It’s been a crazy whirlwind of just things, that I haven’t brought myself to just sit down and write about it. As much as I’ve mentally written it, I’ve never formally put it on paper..err, blog post.

I’d love to recap all the great things that has happened since my last post, but quite truthfully, I wouldn’t want to bore you, ha! HOWEVER, yes, there is a ‘however’…One great thing that I have (semi) kept up with is Instagram. If you want to catch up on my haps through photos and a small caption, find me. Username: Pasheoni

I’ve had this account for quite some time, but haven’t truly dug into it, til now. I guess it’s just a quicker way to ‘capture’ (pun intended) what’s currently going on, without having to sit and blog about it. I KNOW, that’s quite lazy of me, but sue me. I sit in front of a computer all day long at my 9-to-5er doing the same thing (ie, social media, blogging, commenting, pinning), just for a company. Yes, it’s a passion, yes I love it, and yes I can get tired at times. :)

You know me, and I always like to post a photo with a post. So I’ve prepared a cute little storyboard of my princess before I started writing. Then, after I started writing my post, a picture of my instagram made a little more sense. But now to not waste a cute storyboard, here is my germaphobe playing with hand sanitizer (and no she did not ingest it…oye some toddlers/parents/guardians).

I will say it…I will post more often, promise. Well, I’ve said it before, and I kinda didn’t…but I will PROMISE to try and post more often. Better?

XOXO

It’s a BOY!| San Diego Photographer

I just love it when I get emails from my clients telling me they’ve had their little one and can’t wait to schedule their newborn session. I love it even more when it’s been a mystery baby and finding out if they had a boy or girl. When I saw Jamie’s email, I was above and beyond ecstatic! This little boy is so tiny, and slept practically through our entire session. I just wanted to squish and snuggle and play with him all day long! :))

Here HE is…Mr. Lucas. The little man that was close to being born on leap year! Congrats Jamie and Jay!!!

Jay, Jamie and Baby Surprise!| San Diego Photographer

Some say by the way the bump looks you can tell the gender of the baby. I’m not sure if that’s true but what I do know is that It’s NOT fair when I have to force Jamie to push out her little bump so we can see it! :) Despite the chance of showers and the semi-cold weather (yes, cold is an OVER statement given to some), the three, I mean four of us had a great time capturing the beauty of a baby to be.

Jamie and Jay, thanks so much for coming out to play in the cold. It was so much fun just chatting with you and having fun at the beach. I can’t wait to find out what your having!! Enjoy your (oh so many because I couldn’t just choose 4) teasers and see you in a couple weeks. :)

Baby Mikayla| San Diego Photographer

Sweet little Mikayla. You had plans of your own. As much as your mommy and daddy thought they had a schedule going on, you proved them otherwise. It just shows how much they sacrifice for you and for everyone.

Thank you Chambala for all you for spending your Sunday morning over and I hope you enjoy your teasers!

Baby Abigail| San Diego Photographer

Simple, sweet and just plain lovable. Little Abby was so much fun to photograph, I could’ve stayed all day. :) She was so tiny, even at 19 days old she let me capture all her cuteness and then some. Thank you so much Nancy for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to express my passion through photography. Here are your teasers!

Baby Jackson| San Diego Photographer

Fall is in the air. With rain and shine, it’s so hard to figure out what Mother Nature has planned for me and all my lovely clients.

Fortunately with a newborn session, it doesn’t matter what the weather is like (granted I love trying to bring them outdoors, but it’s too cold now). Little Jackson, being 3 weeks old was ready for me no matter what! He was the most squishiest little bub, I couldn’t help squeeze him as much as possible. I loved curling up with him in front of the space heater just to get my squish on. His sister was such a great helper during the session, I wish I was able to spend more time with them both, BUT the darn time change wasn’t letting me as the sun was setting and quick.

Sonia, thank you so much for having me over. It was so much fun working with you and the entire family. Here are your teasers!

Introducing..My Assistant| San Diego Photographer

So it has been long overdue that I have an assistant to help me with everything that is going on in my crazy-busy life. From my marketing job, my photography business, two kids and school…it’s a lot to try and remember. BUT NOW, with a simple command, ‘she’ is here – Siri is here! :)

I have to admit, it’s kinda funny to talk to my PHONE to tell it I need help. Nonetheless, Siri is just a push button away and listens to what I need. From appointments, directions, random information (like when the sun will set), nearby food locations ranked by reviews (great for a foodie like me that loves to try new things, OR prove a point haha) and best of all ‘she’ has a great sense of humor – Ask what the meaning of life is, I’m sure it will be something funny. LOL

It’s completely crazy how dependent we get on technology. I never thought that I would be holding conversations with my phone…yes I told her she was awesome and she replied ‘I know’. haha. HOWEVER, I am NOT as extreme as this guy….

If I ever get this intense….don’t hate! :)

Twice as Nice| San Diego Photographer

Yup, I’m lucky! There is no doubt in my mind that I am in the right profession. With being able to meet new people, make them smile, and capture memories all at once…there’s no better joy (besides ice cream)! I remember last month when I looked at the calendar and told myself that, “Man, this is going to be an INSANE two months.” As the month went on, and after each and every session, I find myself saying, “wow, this is the best time of year EVER!”

Seeing each family grow is such an AMAZING feeling, It’s so hard to explain. With today’s session and seeing the twins, Bryn and Blaine, two little ones I photographed over a year ago, made my heart melt. Seeing how much they’ve grown, how much each of their personalities have blossomed…wow! To top this off….as our fun session came to an end, the BEAUTIFUL Bryn voluntarily laid her two sweet lips on my cheek. It was so sweet, I almost teared up. Gosh I love this job!

Kellie and Steve, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the wonderful evening. I can’t wait to work on these photos! Here are your teasers!
