Yearly Archives: 2009

A Recap of 2009

I figured, what better way to end the new year, than this.  I got this of a fellow photographer’s blog, and decided it was a genius! LOL So yes Narelle, I had to :)

Gave birth to a baby girl! LOL

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for  this year?
Haha, I don’t remember if I had a new yea’s resolution!  I know, it’s that bad!  This year my resolution is to be LESS on the computer and more with my kids!  I must must MUST not get on until the kids are asleep.  If I am on, then it won’t be long! LOL

My 5d :) I can’t believe the difference! :)

12. Where did most of your money go?
To Kayla’s wardrobe!

13. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Giving birth to my baby girl and having my boy meet her!

14. What song will always remind you of 2009?
“I got a Felling” That tonight’s gonna be a good night!  Only because, it’s always a good night.

15. Compared to this time last year, are you:

…I’ve been so out of touch with the ‘real life’.

26. Who did you miss?
Loved ones too far :(

27. Who was the best new person you met?
I’d have to say Carrie Sandoval. Not only is she infamous for her photography, but I truly idolize how she is as a mother! If only I can have as much patience and understanding as she does.

WOW, and that’s that!  Made me realize that 2009 had came and gone too fast.  I need to STOP and just enjoy the moment.  I need to realize that what I’m waiting for is happening this very moment and to just enjoy it!  STOP looking up and seeing who is better than me, and just enjoy BEING me.

Happy New Year everyone!

Merry Christmas to all!

I can’t believe how fast this year has came and gone! I still remember celebrating last Christmas! Where has the time gone?  I truly am thankful for all that has happened this year – yes, good AND bad.  I figure, you can’t have all the good stuff, because without the bad, how can you appreciate the good?

This year was Kayla’s first Christmas. My wee little family’s first Christmas as 4! It was so emotional to just see all that unveiled as the little ones woke.  The cookies were eaten, the presents were waiting, pure joy was just bursting out of Keoni’s eyes, hands and everywhere in between! LOL.

We had a great time with our family.  As busy was we were running from house to house, it was just amazing to spend all this time with the ones who mean the most to us.  It felt like a whirlwind filled with sugarplums and gumdrops! ha!

The photographer in me really wanted to capture every stinkin’ moment that my kids experienced, but the mom in me took over and just relaxed and watched it in ‘real tv’. LOL. Nonetheless, my mom wanted our annual family photo so I did get to capture a couple.  Not my style of photos, but happy to have them!

So from the Paulino family to all of you Merry Christmas!

Baby Walter

Today I had the honor of photographing a beautiful, blue-eyed boy by the name of Walter. He is the sweetest little 4 weeker my camera has has laid her lens on! I can’t rave enough how nice he was to me AT 4 WEEKS! Yes, Liz, I was really nervous about this, but I’m proud to say, Ennis, told ya we’d get him to sleep! :)

As I was cleaning up in the room, I started to hear beautiful music coming from their living room! As I slowly crept out of the nursery, I saw this BEAUTIFUL grand piano! Oh how I miss playing the piano. My heart just melted. Ennis told me the story of his childhood piano and how they got this new one from his father. I could sit next to them for hours as he played. Maybe it’s time to get my rusty fingers onto my own piano! LOL.

Liz and Ennis, it was truly a pleasure to meet you and Baby Walter. Thank you Ennis for protecting our freedom, and I would hate to see you guys leave in July! Here are your teasers!

Important Dates

I think it’s fair to say I can take a nice mini vacation after the holiday rush.  Paul and I made an executive decision that Pasheoni Photography & Design will be closed December 20th to January 10th to spend time with family and friends during this holiday season.  :) If you have already contacted us in regards to a session, no worries, we will still be working with you.  If you are interested in booking a session, please contact us before December 20th or wait until we open in January :)

If you do call, don’t worry, you won’t be ignored! I love hearing from you. AND YES, I will still be posting on the blog. I may be on vacation, but I am still a workaholic! haha.

Speaking of blogging, I’ve been meaning to post pictures of how festive it is around here, but DANG it’s been raining and I haven’t had a chance to pull out my camera.  I did get some nice shots at December Nights of the family.  I’ll post some of those shots AFTER I mail out my Christmas cards. I’d hate to spoil the excitement! LOL

In the meantime, you can enjoy one shot I captured while we were talking around. :)

Eight is another number closer to 12! I don’t understand why 12 keeps getting closer. 12 equals 1…YES! ONE!  I can’t imagine my baby girl turning ONE!!!!

Though she actually turned 8 months old on Thanksgiving day, we wanted to do something special just for US.  San Diego doesn’t typically show it’s Seasons.  I mean, we wear flipflops ALL YEAR LONG.  LOL.  One place I do know where you can tell it’s Autumn is at the beautiful Old Poway Park.  We enjoyed the day sitting in the grass with our packed lunch and soaked up the nice cool breeze.  I couldn’t have asked for a better day to spend it with MY family.  The family my HUSBAND and I created.  It’s an amazing feeling.  Through all the tough days being a parent has to offer, this by far makes it all worth it and them some!

Kayla, as much as I hate you growing up, you’re are growing up BEAUTIFULLY inside and out.  There isn’t a day you dont make my heart melt.  You and your brother (and yes, your daddy too) make my life complete and I can’t ask for anything more..

Ok. I’m done being all ‘Hallmark’! :)

Baby Ava

Without further adieu, we welcome Baby Ava.  She’s the wee one of the beautiful maternity session I had at the beach with Angela and Brett back in August.  This little girl was a little too comfy in mommy’s tummy and refused to come out! Nonetheless, the extra baking made her extra squishy! :)   She was such a good girl during our session, I couldn’t stop clicking away.  I think I clicked so much, she was giving me the stink eye..haha!

Brett and Angela, CONGRATULATIONS on a beautiful baby girl.  Makes me reminisce of the days when Kayla was that tiny! Here are your teasers!

Think Pink Photography

Pasheoni Photography is a proud member of Think Pink Photography.  With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please share with your friends and family this wonderful organization.

thinkpinklogo

Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause.

Through our professional photographer network, we are helping breast cancer patients to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory by scheduling a session within 12 months after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the breast cancer patient. Clients participating in a Think Pink Session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of 10 small prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.

To support the cause, we have partnered with The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.

Memorable Monday- Celebration

HAPPY MEMORABLE MONDAY!!!! This weekend was full of celebration. I love when everyone gets together to share an joyful occasion. This weekend we had two festivals to attend and three birthday parties! I tell you, I’M EXHAUSTED!

Let’s start with Saturday:

Birthday 1 – Auntie Lyn’s BBQ

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  We all got together at Fiesta Island to have a little barbecue and bonfire.  It was a lot of fun being able to just ‘camp out’ with our cars and tents and just enjoy the wonderful San Diego weather.  It was beautiful out, just a tad cloudy, nonetheless, everyone had a great time.  I wish we were able to stay for the bonfire, but for one, Kayla was over it, and second, I had my friends GIRLS ONLY birthday party to attend – this was birthday #2…no pictures though!

festival-1

On to Sunday…

Festival 1 – The Art and Wine Festival in La Jolla

We were invited by a good friend, and neighbor, Walter Redondo.  I’m so glad he opened us up to this and we were able to show the kids all different kinds of art.  Of course I was looking forward to the photography, and WOW, they had such great talent, EVERYONE did.  I also came across a very cute booth that sells hair accessories, costumes, tutus and all the wonderful things for Kayla! haha.  Everything looked soo cute on her, they even took her photos in a couple of their work.  I can’t wait til they post it onto their blog!  I forgot to take a picture of the booth (as I was busy shopping haha), but you can find their great work at www.twinklebabycouture.com.

festival-2

Festival 2 – Saint Michael’s Annual Festival

Shortly after the La Jola Art and Wine festival, we wandered on over to Saint Michael’s Annual Festival.  Much like a carnival, there are booths, games, shows, rides and best of all FOOD :) .  Keoni did awesome with the rides.  I was shocked that my little chicken butt actually rode something relatively scary AND didn’t shed a tear.  I praised him with tons of kisses and high fives to calm his nerves!  This mini festival was a great way to enjoy lunch and help them with their fundraiser :)

festival-3

Birthday #3 – MyGym for Kolu’s 2nd Birthday

Whew, tired yet? OH WE WERE!  We quickly headed over to MyGym for Kolu’s 2nd birthday party.  What a COOL place!  If your kids are too small for Chuck E. Cheese, this place is PERFECT!  It’s like, well, a little gym where kids can jump, shout and play.  There were two hostesses that told stories, had the kids interact, sing, dance and just have a great time.  Finally, a place that understands :)

festival-4

What a memorable weekend this was.  It’s just the way we like to spend our family time.

1/2 a Year

So the Miss has decided to turn 6 months old on me.  Why? I think she had a deal with Father Time! :( .  I love how she is full of expression and emotion.  She gives big hugs and laughs at anything and everything that amuses her.  She’s a little timid, but once you get on her good side, typically by offering her food, she will play with you. She’s already grabbing food out of our hands, and leaving us with a smirk. I enjoy spending every moment watching her grow, watching her discover, watching her…be her.

kayla6

Her brother has learned a lot from his sister.  He’s learned to share, laugh and most of all love her.  Though I think he’s teaching her to tag-team with him against the ‘big people’. Words can’t express how much my heart melts to see them interact and play.  Every time Kayla sees her big brother, she flails her arms and legs with joy.  I love hearing giggles coming from the room.

keoni

He is such a great brother.
