Boynton Family

With all the bad weather we’ve been having in South San Diego, I was extremely worried about this session. I got even more nervous when Becky called and asked the same question that’s been running through my head,”Will the weather be ok?” The photographer in me was thinking of how much FUN a rainy session at the beach would be, BUT I know it’s not ideal for others. LOL.  I took a deep breath and simply said,”Let’s see how the weather pans out,” and amazingly enough, it was the best days we’ve had at the beach in a long time!

This family is a little more special to me than all my wonderful clients. I worked with Damien at Paradise Point Resort in Mission Bay earlier this year before we both moved to bigger and great occupations. He’s a great fella that had a lot of confidence in my work and my aspirations. I enjoyed seeing the family photos he had in his office and just ADORED Olivia when we was little. To be able to actually meet the bunch and be behind my camera, made me slightly nervous I must admit. But like any other session (especially family sessions), we met, we played and had an AMAZING time. Damien’s family, much like himself, was so inviting, it was like a reunion between two families out to hang out.  OH! Let me add…I LOVE LOVE LOVE when families get silly with me! :)

Thank you Damien and Becky for the wonderful afternoon. I had a great time playing with the kids – so much my body is sore! It was WELL WORTH IT! Looking at all the wonderful captures, it was hard for me to decide which to post…so here are SEVEN teasers to tell a mini story.

One of my silly favs!

Milestone for all of us…

Ok. all of us but Kayla. :P

Keoni’s BIG day…FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL.

I can’t believe how fast time has passed us by. I remember the night when I woke up Paul and told him, get ready, this little man wants out. Now this little man is 4 and starting preschool. It hurt me emotionally to see this, yet I am proud. He’s grown up so much, it just amazes me. He is such a great brother, Kayla will miss him while he’s gone. But it’s okay, it’s only 3 hours. They will both get through it.

Dropping him off was difficult. I can’t say he loved it and left. He didn’t want us to leave, he kept running to the car and he would just stay quiet if anyone would speak with him. I hate sneaking out without saying goodbye, but we had to if we wanted to get to work. I couldn’t wait until 12:20 hit, and that I would get that phone call and when I did, I was soOo excited to hear his day. First words that came out of his mouth over the phone….

“Mama….I CRIED A LOT!!!!”

:( .

Little Bridget

Oh she was just the tiniest little girl, I could just snuggle her all day! Today I had the pleasure of meeting Katie and her wonderful family. We were scheduled to have our session about two weeks from now, but the wee little girl had plans of her own, which I had NO problems with at all. I love love love playing little babies! :) ) With Little Bridget being only 6 lbs, it made me reminisce of the time when my Little Kayla was just as small. I can’t believe how fast my little girl has grown. :sigh:..Time sure does fly. I think my husband gets worried every time I have a newborn session – Baby fever sure does hit home! LOL!

Katie, thank you so much for spending Sunday morning with me and my camera. I had a wonderful time playing with little Bridget and having conversation with you and your mom. I don’t want to share TOO much, as I know announcements are still going out, but here are your teasers!
