Baby Kiowea

Baby Kiowea couldn’t have been any more amazing today than if he was any younger. It’s funny how us photographers hear that a newborn baby has hit double digits in how many days old they are. It’s terrifying, and sometimes stomach wrenching. How would we get them to curl, what if they won’t go to sleep, or worse WHAT IF THEY ARE FUSSY?! With this little Island Boy being :gasp: 12 days old, I couldn’t wait to see what he had planned for me. I was beyond ecstatic how calm, mellow and peaceful Baby Kiowea was. He let me play to my hearts content. So much that sun set!

Imai and Walt, thank you so much for being able to come at such short notice. I had a great time having you over and I can’t wait to finish playing with your session. I had so many lined up to show you but for now…you get these! ;)

Baby Matthew

Little Matthew is here and ready to play. I had the most wonderful time photographing him in his new home (new home means less furniture and more room for me to expand and play). Little did I know, he had plans for me. :) He was fun, spirited and knew he was in charge. We both had fun and I can’t wait to play with him again.

Thanks Caprice and Matt for having me at your beau-ti-ful home this morning. I had a great time playing with Matthew. Here are your teasers.

(forewarning – I do have a POTD for 20, I just haven’t taken a pic of the pic yet. You’ll understand when I post it LOL)

SHE IS HOME! After her mini vacation with my sister, my baby girl is home. I love it when she comes to sit in my lap and wants to draw too. I can’t wait til I can teach her how to use the wacom! ;)

She is having so much fun spending the week with her godmother, my sister, it makes me happy. I get periodic picture messages of the silly things she does or just simple updates of what she’s currently doing. I hope this brews some baby fever with my sister so I can have some fun of my own :)

So my little girl is on a mini vacay at my sister’s house. We won’t see her until Friday! I miss her so much but I’m glad she is having so much fun. While shes been gone she has been peeing in the toilet, and has stopped using her bottle all in 24 hours. My sister does miracles. Tonight we Skyped, making me miss her so much!

Look who found her way to our bed early this morning…and you know what?!  I LOVED IT!

This was an emotional day to say the least. I’m very excited and happy for my parents to be able to live their dream and go back ‘home’ to the Philippines, but I’m also saddened that, well they are going to be in the Philippines and not just a couple miles away. Thankfully they are only going to be gone for 4months. Nonetheless 4 months is the longest they’ve been away and they are also full of emotion. Since day one both my kids were being babysat by my mom. When my dad retired from work back in November, he was able to spend M-F with them as well. Kayla just adores my dad so much she’s like a little puppy that follows him EVERY WHERE. We would get to my parents’ by 7am and she’d quickly skip to the room and say,”wayykup Lolo (meaning grandpa in tagalog)!” Keoni always gravitated to my mom. Lola (grandma) always let’s him have whatever he wants..and he knew it.

So as I type, my parents are on a plane and heading back to a place they use to call home. It’s a big change for all of us and I can’t wait til I can pick them back up! :)

Nice afternoon nap. I wondered where he went! LOL

This is what I get to do for the next 6 weeks on Friday nights from 6pm to 10pm – Microbiology Lab. How hip is that?!

She loves shoes. If she sees my pumps, she is all over it. I can’t believe how many pairs of shoes I find her in throughout the day. As long as they are easy to slip on, she is in heaven. I find it HILARIOUS because of how girly she expresses herself. From SHOES, makeup, brushing her hair, carrying a purse to even taking care of her baby…she loves it all.

Here is her go-to pair of shoes. She’s sleeping now and is STILL wearing them. Oiy.
