Keeping it a Surprise

I suck at keeping things a surprise. If I can find out, I want to know. When I found out a middle school friend of mine was keeping the gender of her baby a surprise, I had a flashback (times 2) remembering how waiting 20 weeks was already LONG enough. With Chrysty being ALREADY 34 weeks pregnant, she’s gone 14 weeks longer than I had and is quite content not knowing! I’m not surprised, though. From knowing her since we were…wow..13 years old, I know how strong willed and determined she is. When she sets her mind to something, she achieves it. She has the beauty and the grace that radiates confidence. Now married to an amazing husband, this next step in her (and their) life will be graciously approached and handled perfectly!

Chrysty and Jeff, CONGRATULATIONS on the baby to come! It’s simply amazing seeing all of my friends having babies…MAKES ME SO GIDDY! :) ) I couldn’t JUST choose 3 or 4, so enjoy all 6 of your teasers!

Baby Fabian

If this boy didn’t give me baby fever, then I don’t know! LOL. He was so tiny, it reminded me of when my little girl was born. Little Fabian was so good to me, he barely made a peep the entire time I was there. With him being a mere 7 days, he was such a superstar. This born model didn’t need any breaks, fell right asleep and posed himself most of the time. He’s very calm and collect, just like his dad.

Jorge, it was so nice to see you again, all grown up now! :) It was great to meet your wife and your little one. Enjoy your teasers!

..and as much as I’m a CHARGER FAN, I figured you’d like this.

Becoming a Mom

Or shall I say ‘Mama’?! :)

As much as I wish all kids would treat their mom’s with much love and praise EVERYDAY, having a special day isn’t to shabby either! LOL. Today I had a wonderful day with the ones that mean the most to me: MY family, my immediate family and Paul’s family. A day filled with so much love and laughter, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

This made me think about how hard my mom (and Paul’s mom) worked to keep everything normal, or ABOVE normal even! Knowing how much more difficult it can be when having to give everything had had for the happiness of their children. As much as I love doing things for me, buying things for me, or even doing ABSOLUTELY nothing, I don’t regret it ONE bit having to share an ounce of my time, a penny of my money or all the time in the day catering to my two babies! It’s a tough job, I tell you that…but it is also THE MOST rewarding venture Paul and I have ever started.

Keoni, my almost 4 year old, has learned so much, it amazes me on the conversations we have. It’s hard to fathom that this little boy can hold such an intriguing conversation when he use to be my little babbler. Now that he can practically count as high as 100 (with a little help), I can’t wait to see what else he can show me! He loves to help out in any which way possible. He cleans, paints, feeds Wibbles and most of all gives as much hugs and kisses as he can to his little sister.

Kayla is a walking, talking princess! LOL. She just LOVES LOVES LOVES my cellphone, my shoes, her reflection in the mirror…oiy! I didn’t know that all this girly stuff could come naturally. Seriously! If you know me, I’m not the pink-wearing, doll-loving, high-healed type of person…but gosh darn my daughter loves it all! She is starting to pick up words quickly, like Dada, more, up, APPLE JUICE! Yes, a 3 syllable word! Granted she can’t say MAMA for the life of her! She does, however, look at me each time she says it. So maybe that’s me. I’m Apple Juice (just lovely!).

Below are photos of the two most AMAZING days in my life. Days that had changed my life in the most heartfelt way possible. I love being a mom, I love embracing motherhood for all it has to offer, no matter how hard of a curveball it throws at me. I can’t ask for a more perfect pair to be my babies…THEY ARE THE BEST.

Happy Mother’s Day!

XOXO,
Apple Juice

Go Canon Go!

So the dear hubby, being a fellow HOUSE fan, text messages me about an article he had read online.  What made it interesting, besides it being about a SEASON FINALE on a show we (try our hardest) to watch religiously, is that it was ALL SHOT on a Canon 5dMii.

WHAT?!?! A DSLR???

YUP!

Now, how cool is that. You go Canon with your bad self!  Here is the article if you’re interested!

In OTHER news, look what I have coming up.  Two newborns, a 2 year old and a 7 year old, all from the wonderful city of Riverside! Yup, I had a great opportunity to capture some beautiful children 1 1/2 hour drive north of me.  So if you’re in the Riverside area, and wish to have a session with me, let me know! I’d love to make another trip up. :)

Baby Jake

With great pleasure, I had the opportunity to photograph a boy named Jake.  Oh how tiny this little boy is! With his wee self came with a wee squeak which was just so darn cute! Granted he was breech, this made for a very curly baby! FUN! It was a full house there, with grandma and grandpa coming all the way from Philadelphia to visit.  I’m so happy the weather is just beautiful for them.  Maybe, JUST maybe, this WILL want them to move out to San Diego, right Lauren? :) Even though that’s just icing on the cake since Jake is here! hehe.

I can’t share too much since we are planning to create some birth announcements and I would hate to spoil it!  Thanks Lauren for having me over to meet Jake, you and the family.  I couldn’t ask for a more smaller, sleepier and curly little baby.

and because I REALLY had to show of this OH SO CUTE hat that Grandma made!!!

Baby Tyler

I had the honor today to photograph this little handsome boy named Tyler.  For him being 4 weeks old, he was a sleeper.  I’m sure the yummy 4 ounces he drank prior to my arrival, and another 4 ounces during helped me a little bit! :) His older brother, Brian was so much fun to play with also.  I just LOVED how curly his hair was.  Full of smiles, and fun to talk to, the little 7 year old just couldn’t keep his eyes off his brother. I can’t even imagine how much those two will have once Tyler starts interacting with him.

Thank you Tipa for having me over today. I enjoyed meeting the family and I hope you enjoy the photos!

A Ceremony

Deployments suck. They really do.  Last weekend we headed up to visit my sister and her family to a ceremony no one typically likes attending.  It was the day where we bid a temporary farewell to our awesome soldiers who fight for our freedom. I’ll have to admit, I had a heavy heart, yet that the same time I was proud! Proud of the men and women who risk their lives to protect our freedom.

While editing these photos, I teared. I took deep breaths just to get through them all.  I can feel the emotions people were going through, you can see it in their eyes.  Though I’m such a sap, an emotional wreck (Come on, I get emotional watching the Allstate Insurance commercial; you know, the one that has the song, “I’ll be there”?!), I am still happy and grateful!

The event was well. There were activities for the kids, care packets for the kids as well, snacks, drinks and most of all, support. You were introduced to family of the other soldiers who will be going through the same, as well as families that have gone through the same.  It will be a tough 390+ days, but I know they’ll get through it. I’m here for my sister and my nephews 110%.

Tom, do what you gotta do out there.  We’re proud of you for your sacrifice, your courage and most of all your bravery. Don’t worry, your family is safe with us and I’ll never leave Ate lonely. The Paulino Inn is always open! Godspeed.

Baby Ava

Without further adieu, we welcome Baby Ava.  She’s the wee one of the beautiful maternity session I had at the beach with Angela and Brett back in August.  This little girl was a little too comfy in mommy’s tummy and refused to come out! Nonetheless, the extra baking made her extra squishy! :)   She was such a good girl during our session, I couldn’t stop clicking away.  I think I clicked so much, she was giving me the stink eye..haha!

Brett and Angela, CONGRATULATIONS on a beautiful baby girl.  Makes me reminisce of the days when Kayla was that tiny! Here are your teasers!

Think Pink Photography

Pasheoni Photography is a proud member of Think Pink Photography.  With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please share with your friends and family this wonderful organization.

thinkpinklogo

Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause.

Through our professional photographer network, we are helping breast cancer patients to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory by scheduling a session within 12 months after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the breast cancer patient. Clients participating in a Think Pink Session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of 10 small prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.

To support the cause, we have partnered with The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.
