Session Information | San Diego Photographer

No two sessions are ever alike.  They are never rushed and will last between 1 and 3 hours so plan around your child’s schedule accordingly. The location will determine the overall feel of your session.  Photo shoots can take place in your home or at an outdoor location of your choice. I  recommend an outdoor location as the natural light yields better photographs.  However, I recommend newborn sessions take place in your home.  I work to make this a fun experience so I may capture authentic smiles and expressions. To help with this you may want to bring sentimental items such as a favorite stuffed animal, blanket, anything to make your child relaxed and comfortable.

Who Should Come
I recommend only bringing those that will be photographed to the session. As a mom I know it can be a huge help to have a friend or family member there to lend a hand, but often times that can be more distracting for the child during the session. In order to get the best images of your child, I need to be able to connect one on one with your little one and if there is too much going on around them, that can be difficult to do. And please leave your cameras (both still and video) at home as well.

Illnesses
In the event you need to reschedule, please do so 48 hours prior to scheduled session. Deposits are non-refundable, but are transferable if cancellation was 48 hours prior to scheduled session.

The Process
Once you book your session, I will provide you with access to a website where you can get information you would need to have a fun and successful session – from what to expect during the session, what to wear to what to do post session.

Approximately 10 days after your session, you’ll receive a password to view your images in an online gallery. Once you select the images for your collection, I’ll complete your order and have it available to you between 1-2 weeks as some items take longer to produce than others.
